While servivng a mission I think this passage of scripture meant the most to me because we were always persecuted for trying to do the right thing. People would always try to get us to stop telling them about religion and God. People would look at us funny, swear at us, ignore us, be rude to us, and so on. But this passage always comforted me as I realised that prophets in the past had it so much worse and they were so powerful of examples. Even though we weren't accepted at most places we went I still felt blessed and protected by the Lord.

bhardle, I've moved some of your recent comments around, and deleted the above from 3 Ne 12:11-15. Right now, this user page is the best place for such personal commentary...not the main commentary pages. Also, the Lexical notes section is for discussion relating to the wording or phrasing of each passage. Comments or interpretations about the meaning of the passage should be added to the Exegesis section of the commentary page. Rob Fergus 15:54, 31 Oct 2005 (UTC)
