First person on commentary pages
Hi Hsprunt, thanks for your posts. One request.
Please don't use the first person on the commentary pages (e.g. "Also i was wondering of there was any significance to the number twelve in this scripture or in the scriptures in general?") I recognize that it is common and appropriate to do that on blogs. But this site is a bit different. Here we are all working together to create a single text on the commentary pages--not a set of fragments of different people's thoughts. (Note though that your user page--and user sub-pages if you need--is a spot for such comments if you'd like a place to put them.) To create a single, seamless text, one of the basic policies that all writers and editors are asked to abide by is to not use the first person in their posts on the commentary pages. Since we are all working on one text, readers won't know who "I" refers to when we use it there.
