Talk:First Nephi

Preface

It seems a little odd that there is no link for the heading to First Nephi that precedes verse one. I am not talking about the chapter heading that was written by Elder McConkie et al. I am talking about the large paragraph that ends with the phrase "I, Nephi, wrote this record."

Unlike the individual verses, the HTML source from the LDS site does not include a named anchor (bookmark) for the preface of the chapter. In other words, even if the wiki had a separate page for the preface, the scripture frame could not be used to highlight the passage under consideration. I personally don't seen anything wrong with including discussion of the preface on the 1 Ne 1:1 page. Matthew? --John 05:57, 19 February 2007 (CET)

I would be fine with creating a new page for this paragraph but am also fine with putting any commentary on that paragraph on the page for 1 Ne 1:1-5. If we do create a new page for it, one question is what to call it.--Matthew Faulconer 18:52, 21 February 2007 (CET)

Chapter pages

I noted that clicking on the chapter takes you directly to the vv. 1-5 page, not the chapter pages (with the "all verses in this chapter" option which I'm so fond of!). --RobertC 00:03, 10 May 2007 (CEST)

Oops, never mind, I was looking at chapter 6 and it only has 6 verses, so it only pulls up that page--my bad! --RobertC 00:06, 10 May 2007 (CEST)
