Verse 5:22[edit]
Many people believe that Paul was chauvinistic for writing things such as these. Do we understand what is meant by the word submit? Is it demeaning to women to "submit" to their husband as those husbands "submit" to the Lord?
And why do we hear this verse (22) cited whenever detractors try to portray Christianity as antipathetic to women? Do they have a point?
