I've wondered if, from Bathsheba's perspective, she might be acting in accordance with law since she is simply obeying the king. This seems consistent with David's insistence on submitting to King Saul's authority in all the later chapters of 1 Samuel.... --RobertC 16:24, 20 Nov 2006 (UTC)
