- How should we view Pahoran's exhortation to "resist evil" (vs. 14) in light of the Savior's teaching to "resist not evil" (Matt 5:39)? Do Christ's teachings during his mortal ministry constitute a "higher law" than the Nephites were currently living in respect to dealing with their enemies?
