- v. 28: why is the reason for having one wife that the Lord delights in the chastity of women? It seems like the commandment is given to men specifically concerning women, so shouldn't the reason be because He delights in the chastity of men? Or is the phrase "chastity of women" better understood to mean the chastity of men towards women rather than the chastity a woman possesses? Is that a viable interpretation given the grammar?
