A few comments on Alma 35:11-16
I like how the Nephites prepared for war at the first sign of trouble. They didn't wait until the Lamanites had already arrived in their lands before assembling themselves. We should do the same and prepare ourselves as early as possible. Sometimes we procrastinate too long and suffer for it.
The Zoramites were disenters of the Nephites. It mentions here that it is the 17th year of the reign of the judges. Therefore, the government of the Nephites was pretty new. I wonder if the change in government is part of the reason why the Zoramites dissented. Perhaps the Zoramites were ruled by a king instead of judges.
