12:7 - A thought i had as i read through this chapter was about this specific verse. We know that after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, he ascended to his Father. The way I read this verse makes me think that part of his reasoning for doing so was to wait for sufficient faith among the Nephites, so that he could show himself to them.
