- (Verse 11) What is it that motivates the people of the secret combinations at this time? Why do they enter into a covenant to destroy the government?
Why would all the different tribes somewhat get along with each other but all be against the prophets?

Exegesis
Verse 11 tells us that the only thing uniting the tribes of people was their common hatred of those who entered into secret combinations. Hatred of evil, in and of itself, is a good thing. It was given to us by the Lord in Genesis 3:15.
