Your help is needed! Commentary is growing every day, still many commentary pages have no content. The most important way to help is to create and improve the content of this site.  If you are not sure how to do this, see the Getting Started section below. == Help ==
The fastest way to get to a scripture is by typing its reference in the search box. You can find the search box on the left of any page on this site below the navigation links. To use the search box to find a scripture commentary page you need to use the standard abbreviations used in the footnotes of the scriptures published by the Church. Also you must type the reference to a single verse rather than to a passage. For example, type:
+
* 1 Ne 16:28, but not 1 Nephi 16:28
+
* Mosiah 5:2, but not Mos 5:2
+
* Philip 2:5, but not Philippians 2:5
+
* Matt 28:6, but not Matt 28:6-8
+

Subpages:   The Old Testament    The New Testament    The Book of Mormon    The Doctrine & Covenants    The Pearl of Great Price

Feast upon the Word provides commentary on the Standard Works of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (often referred to as the Mormon Church). The Standard Works are: The Old Testament, The New Testament, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine & Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price. This commentary is provided free to all. In turn, we ask that you freely contribute to this site in accordance with our policies.

This site seeks to remain faithful to the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but has no formal affiliation or approval.

Getting started

You can select a page to read in one of five ways:

 1. You may want to begin by reading one of the following pages if this is your first time to visit the site: Ruth, Alma 13:1-5, Ether.
 2. You can use the menu tree by clicking on a link at the top of this page. Select a standard work, then a book, and then a subpage. For example: The Old Testament > Daniel > Chapter 2.
 3. You can go straight to a page by typing a verse reference into the search box. The search box is located on the left margin of every page on this site below the navigation links. You must use the standard LDS abbreviation for each book. For example: 1 Ne 16:28, not 1 Nephi 16:28. Also, you must search for only a single verse rather than an entire passage. For example: Matt 28:6, not Matt 28:6-8.
 4. You can go to the Sunday School lessons page.
 5. Or, if you can't decide what to read, you can go to a page at random. The link Random page is located on the left margin of every page just above the search box.

Contributing

Anyone can add to or edit the pages on this site, and your help is needed. Every page on this site was a blank template until someone contributed content. Some pages may still be empty. Others may be polished and full of content. Some have been repeatedly split into layers of subpages. But no page on a wiki will likely ever be "done." The fact that other people can edit what you write means you do not have to wait until you have something perfect before adding it. Add something and see what happens.

To contribute, follow these steps.

First, if you haven't done so already, please create an account. Though anonymous edits are allowed, logging in will enable features that are unavailable to anonymous users.

Second, read the help on posting to commentary pages.

Then, on each page that you want to edit, the steps are simple:

 1. Find the page for a section of scripture that interests you
 2. Click on the edit tab for that page
 3. Add content, add a link, or edit what someone has written.
 4. Click the "Save page" button and answer a simple question to prove that you are not a robot

If you want to help clean up a page that has content but could use some editing, see: First Corinthians, First Nephi, Enos.

For additional ideas about how to help, go to the community portal.

If you have trouble editing a page look at Help:Editing. For any other help see the main help page.
