The Standard Works for the Church include: The Old Testament, The New Testament, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine & Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price.
Help is needed to create this free resource. We are just getting started so it is an exciting time to contribute your ideas. There are lots of ways to help, but the most important is to create and improve the content of this site. It's easy for anyone to do this--keep reading.

Finding scriptures
Drilling down to scriptures
You can find the scripture you are looking for by drilling down through these links.
- The Old Testament
- The New Testament
- The Book of Mormon
- The Doctrine & Covenants
- The Pearl of Great Price.
Searching for scriptures
Alternatively you can type in the reference to any verse in the Standard Works and go directly to its commentary page. To do this, you'll need to use the standard abbreviations used in the footnotes of the scriptures published by the Church. For example, type:
- 1 Ne 16:28, but not 1 Nephi 16:28
- Mosiah 5:2, but not Mos 5:2
- Philip 2:5, but not Phil 2:5
For a complete list of standard LDS abbreviations, click here.
