* ''Hand is stretch out still'' - Despite the strong imagery of the Savior's outstretched arms, this verse makes it clear that the Lord does not intend to comfort his people by stretching forth his hand. On the contrary, his plan is to utterly destroy Israel, his vineyard (see [[2 Ne 15:5|2 Nephi 15:5-6]]). This phrase from [[Isa 5:25|Isaiah 5:25]] is used four more times in 2 Nephi ([[2 Ne 19:12|19:12]], [[2 Ne 19:17|17]], [[2 Ne 19:21|21]] and [[2 Ne 20:4|20:4]]).
