eucharistic vision
In the hour that the prayer was raised
I saw also the Lord sitting upon a stone,
high and lifted up were His arms,
and His train was filled there in the temple.
He took His pillow, made of stone, and set it up--He held it up
by His right hand and His left hand so unto heaven, it did stand--
and swore by Him who lives forever, took from Him, in fact, a cup
(of wine or oil?), and made libation on the stone 'mid fiery band
And the seventh angel poured out
his vial, standing in the air;
and there came a great voice
out of the temple of heaven,
from the stone,
saying,
It is done.
and lo a mighty pillar falling came and dwelt upon the stone,
and all that rested ere upon it was consumed (the very Lord)
and purified (the very Same) and where was flesh there now was grown
unleavened cakes in which appeared most plainly Messianic Word
Or what man of Holiness is there of you,
whom if his son ask break,
will he give him a stone?
And in the Spirit I perceived so great a stone was but a plate,
a fiery disk upon which holy bread was set by flutt'ring dove,
and with the breaking loaf, there broke my heart, and open wide the gate
was swung, as seraph brought to me (by tongs) that stone touched high above
He that hath an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the train;
To him that overcometh will I
give to eat of the hidden manna,
and will I
give him a white stone,
and in the stone a new name written,
which no man knoweth
saving he that
receiveth it.
