I think it's interesting that at the very end of his life and this book he talks about the Gift of the Holy Ghost. I think it shows the importance of the gift of the Holy Ghost. At the end of one's life I think they start to really realize the tings that are truly important. The Holy Ghost probably lead him out of danger many times since he was constantly fleeing for his life. I imagine if I were to fully utilize the gift of the Holy Ghost how much easier my life would be. --Bhardle 17:39, 4 Dec 2005 (UTC)

- It's interesting that at Christ's first appearance with the apostles, the Lord gives them the power of the "laying on of hands" to be of great importance as they receive the Holy Ghost. This way he prepares them to ordain others to the priesthood so that they are ready to carry out the work of the Lord.
I don't think it's clear from the text whether Christ gave the apostles the power to ordain to the priesthood. Even this is taken as a possible interpretation, I don't understand the point that is trying to be made.

Personal reflections[edit]
I think that we should pray to the Lord before using His authority. We need to present ourselves to the Lord and let Him know we would like His help and acknowledge His hand in what we do. It helps clear the mind so that we may focus, and invites the Spirit to take over. --User:Sam1602, 8 Dec 2005
