Talk:Matt 27:26-56

Verses 31-35

I changed the Golgotha comment into a question since I wasn't sure what to make of this. If others have some ideas, feel free to move it back to exegesis and share them.--Matthew Faulconer 09:22, 28 Mar 2005 (CEST)

Verse 45

I removed this one. It seemed to me appropriate maybe that there would be darkness at his death as it wasn't his death per se but rather the resurrection that gave light to all mankind.

Verse 45: There was darkness at his death - which gave light to all mankind.

Verses 46

For Easter we this section as part of our family scripture study. My daughter asked about verse 46. She asked "since Jesus already knew what was going to happen to him, whey did he cry out asking why this was happening to him?" I don't think she got the question quite right but I think this is an interesting verse. I put down a couple of answers I had commonly heard hoping that others would help fill in some details and/or add some additional ways of reading this verse. Any help is much appreciated. --Matthew Faulconer 10:03, 28 Mar 2005 (CEST)
