- vs. 18-33 - It's verses like these that help us realize the importance of never ceasing to strengthen ourselves in the Lord. The adversary has the ability to identify our weaknesses, and should we fail to fortify any aspect of our spiritual lives, then comes the devil and his forces, having a firm determination to conquer us in these vulnerable areas. How wise is the counsel of the Lord: "Pray always, that you may come off conqueror; yea, that you may conquer Satan, and that you may escape the hands of the servants Satan that do uphold his work." (D&C 10:5)
Hi Ben I moved this comment to this discussion page. I first thought I would write a summary of the what these verses say and then explain how this passage of scripture could be applied to our spirituality by leading up to your commment. But after summarizing it, I couldn't make the connection between what happens in those verses and your comment about the adversary and praying--at least it didn't seem obvious to me. Still I liked your comment and I didn't want to loose it so I moved it here to the discussion page. Feel free to add more on to the commentary page if you want to make that connection I wasn't able to. --Matthew Faulconer 03:42, 18 Oct 2005 (UTC)
