Alma was paralyzed for 3 days, during this time was he more or less unconscious? I have heard speculation that perhaps he went to the spirit world during this time. is there any support for this theory? --Jaromhanson 9 Sep 2005
Eternal torment. God's punishment.
I find it interesting to see in verse 14 that Alma would go so far as to call leading someone away from the truth as murder. This shows us the level of sorrow he feels for what he did and the seriousness of it as well. We might even say that leaving the church voluntarily or going inactive could be called commiting spiritual suicide. Jmsears 18 Sep 2005
