Hi RM Matheson. Not sure but I think there is no mixed metaphor here. I think mixing metaphors requires two metaphors. Here we only have one--the one about being blind. The fact that they couldn't understand the spoken words I think is meant to be taken literally. --Matthew Faulconer 05:11, 6 Dec 2005 (UTC)
