Hi Hsprunt, Regarding your question on the Lamanites and their skin color I don't see any evidence that we shouldn't interpret the statement that their skin became white literally--though I find that idea appealing. BenRasmussen thoughts on verse 15: - I have also pondered a lot about how the Lamanite's skin became white, as it says in this verse. I wonder if it was an immediate change or a gradual change. I've also considered the thought that maybe these particular people's skin didn't acutally change, but rather they gave birth to children that had white instead of dark skin. I've also wondered why it happened at this time and not at other times. Has something similar ever happened in modern times? One can only speculate as far as I know.
