Programming question
Woops, this computer remembered me using my old Rcouch account (which I'd like to delete) on that last comment....
A related programming question: How hard would it be to prompt non-logged in users to either log-in or create an account when they submit edits? I think they should still be given the chance to just use their IP address without an account, but it's a good excuse to prompt them to create an account (and a good reminder for those of us with an account to login if we forgot!). --RobertC 19:26, 13 Aug 2005 (CEST)

Scripture journal
On Matthewfaulconer's page, he lists "less introspective" as one of the goals of this site that differentiates it from other blog sites. I personally would like to hear other people's introspective thoughts, esp. in regard to the questions on the commentary page. I think allowing a place for such ruminations on this site will help create a sense of community as well as spark ideas that may eventually become an improvement on the main commentary pages.
However, I understand this may be beyond the scope of this site, at least as originally intended. This also adds 'noise' to the recent changes page, which is probably followed by many users. So if a personal scripture journal is not appropriate for this site, please let me know. Because these personal reflections don't directly further the main goal and scope of this site (they're too introspective), I'm putting links on the discussion page, not the commentary page.
- I like the idea of people posting some personal reflections on the scriptures that may or may not work well (and not having to worry about whether it does) on their own personal pages. The issue you bring up about noise on the recent changes page is legitimate. I think it wouldn't be too hard to add another switch on this page so that you could hide edits to user pages. I just got around to looking at the changes you made to Moro 7:1-5 and the stuff you added to the talk page. I like the improvements to the commmentary page. Nice work.
