Verse 9:13[edit]
The Lord compares the survivors righteousness with that of those who were slain. Is it ever helpful to compare our own righteousness or worthiness with others?
Verse 9:20[edit]
Am I reading this correctly in thinking that this verse suggests that the Lamanites received the Holy Ghost without the laying on of hands? It would seem odd to me that if they received the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands that they wouldn't know it. Certainly if the words of the ordinance were similar to our words today you would think they would then know that they had received the Holy Ghost. --Matthew Faulconer 13:45, 18 Dec 2005 (UTC)
