Jesus Christ as Jehovah (and Father)

Scriptures

• John 8:58: Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

• 1 Cor 10:1-5: MOREOVER, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

• 3 Ne 15:5: Behold, I am he that gave the law, and I am he who covenanted with my people Israel; therefore, the law in me is fulfilled, for I have come to fulfil the law; therefore it hath an end.

• Changing theology: Some claim that the LDS teaching of Jesus Christ being Jehovah is new to the 20th century, not something that the early restoration prophets taught. The claim seems to rest on a strict interpretation of Elohim referring only to the Father of Jesus Christ (isn't Elohim plural in Hebrew??).
