The list was getting long enough that I thought it would be handy to organize it under a couple of different categories. Feel free to try an alternative organizing scheme if you think of something better. --Matthew Faulconer 06:45, 1 Jul 2005 (CEST)

Great work. I like the additions/reorganization. Thanks Robert. --Matthew Faulconer 05:24, 5 Feb 2006 (UTC)

I like the Religious Educator addition. I hadn't ever seen that before. It looks like it is a good resource. Thanks MJ. --Matthew Faulconer 15:36, 15 Feb 2006 (UTC)

Websters 1828 dictionary[edit]

Has anyone else noticed that the old address for the webster's site seems to be taken down (the one that had the ip address for the url)? I found this one, http://1828.mshaffer.com/d/word/test . It is a bit crowded with ads of all sorts. Any other suggestions? --Matthew Faulconer 08:06, 30 January 2008 (CET)

unfortunately the mshaffer.com site seems no longer to be working....too bad. I was just about to go through and try to fix all of those links with a bot. But there seems little point in fixing them from one bad link to another.... Anyone know of an 1828 dictionary online that is reliable? --Matthew Faulconer 06:57, 25 February 2008 (CET)

ok. This one might work. Just noting it here so that next time I come I don't lose track of it: http://machaut.uchicago.edu/?resource=Webster%27s&word=test&use1828=on . --Matthew Faulconer 07:02, 25 February 2008 (CET)

Thank you for finding this, Matthew. I've been going crazy without access to the dictionary (though I'm hoping to secure a print copy while I'm in Utah in March). Back to work! --Joe Spencer 17:05, 25 February 2008 (CET)

re-organizing page[edit]

I'm thinking it would be nice to re-organize this page to highlight the most useful tools. I'm going to give it a shot. If you don't like it feel free to re-edit or suggest alternatives. --Matthew Faulconer 14:37, 25 Nov 2006 (UTC)

hmmm....let me know what you think. My goal is to make it more accessible to those new to scripture study tools by pointing them to just a few of the best places. To this end, I highlighted the sites I tend to use the most. I don't claim that I have thoroughly looked at everything and then selected what is actually the best. --Matthew Faulconer 15:23, 25 Nov 2006 (UTC)

hosting the original Book of Mormon[edit]

I wouldn't mind hosting the original Book of Mormon, so that faithful members can read it, but I'm not sure about the copyright. Yes, the Book of Mormon is not in copyright any more, but I don't own the scans. How would I go about doing it? I'm the owner/main writer of Correct Principles and could host it there. You can contact me with this form.

I wish I knew... --Matthew Faulconer 14:16, 4 Dec 2006 (UTC)
